Million Dollar Quartet: Save $5 on tickets to the rock ‘n’ roll musical, Million Dollar Quartet (http://www.apollochicago.com/home/index.php), compliments of Concierge Preferred. The show takes you back to December 4, 1956, when an auspicious twist of fate brought together Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. The place was Sun Records’ storefront studio in Memphis. The man who made it happen was the “Father of Rock-n-Roll,” Sam Phillips, who discovered them all. The four legends-to-be united for the only time in their careers for an impromptu recording session that embodied the birth of rock ‘n’ roll and has come to be known as one of the greatest rock jam sessions of all time. To take advantage of the discount, call 773-935-6100 and use the code GUEST. Offer good for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening performances now through March 15, 2009 (the show has been extended by popular demand and is now showing through April 12). Subject to availability. Not valid on previously purchased tickets or with any other discount or promotional offer.

The program encourages not only visitors, but Chicagoans as well to experience what The Wall Street Journal recently termed “America’s top eating city.” Diners may select restaurants by cuisine or neighborhood. If you can’t decide which restaurant to dine at, ask the Chef for his recommendation online. Visitors to the site can also sign up for email alerts and enter for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to any one of the participating restaurants valid through the end of 2009 (but not during Chicago Restaurant Week). A list of participating restaurants and online reservations are available on the website.
