Exquisite City: While this moniker could easily apply to Chicago, in this instance we’re talking about a miniature city made of cardboard. The “Exquisite City, City of Cardboard” (http://www.exquisitecity.com) exhibit is on display from Thursday, Jan. 15-Sunday, March 15 at the Chicago Tourism Center, 72 E. Randolph Street. The show is an exhibition of work by 70 Chicago artists who have created an imaginary miniature city made almost entirely of cardboard and features 30 city “blocks.” Some take a whimsical view of the city’s architecture, such as a row of bungalows sprouting a giant tree. Others, including a pyramid made out of tortilla boxes, pay homage to Chicago neighborhoods.

Taste of the Aztec World: What’s better than a feast for the eyes? One for the stomach, of course. History buffs and foodies alike will relish in the opportunity to dig into the historic cuisine of the Aztecs. Chicagoans can feast at the following participating establishments through Saturday, Jan. 17 (the "Aztec World" exhibition is on display at the Field Museum through April 19): Adobo Grill Wicker Park, Adobo Grill Lombard, Aria, Berghoff, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!, Caliente, Cuatro, Fonda del Mar, Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club, La Finca, Mexique, Mundial, Nacional 27, Rique's Regional Mexican Food, Salpicon, Zapatista, and Zocalo.
