Winter Classic: It’s the biggest thing to hit Wrigley Field, at least during the winter months. It’s the NHL 2009 Winter Classic, squaring off on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 at 12 p.m. Acquiring tickets for the match-up between the Chicago Blackhawks and defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Redwings will be nearly impossible, given the once in a lifetime outdoor atmosphere. In fact, an estimated 41,000 fans will pack the Friendly Confines for this epic game. Fortunately, some of the best views are still available: the Wrigley Field rooftops located directly across from the stadium. Last minute Rooftop Winter Classic http://www.cubbybear.com/wrigleyvillerooftops/wrigleyville-rooftop-news/get-your-2009-winter-classic-tickets-today.html tickets still available. Contact Tim (tim@wrigleyvillerooftops.com or 773-248-7663) and mention Concierge Preferred for a special discounted rate.
Look Better Naked Cocktails: The indulgent, high-calorie social season is upon us. Nacional 27 (http://www.nacional27.net/) offers guilt-free cocktails that will help you get a jump start on your New Year's resolution to get in shape. Try the low-cal, low-carb, low-fat LookBetterNaked Margarita or Suba, a Cuba Libre martini. The LookBetterNaked margarita is made from all-natural ingredients, including Partida Reposado tequila, Sambazon Organic Acai, organic agave nectar, rosemary, egg white and fresh squeezed lime juice. Using a Sambazon Pure Organic Acai smoothie pack and Partida Organic Agave Nectar, the margarita is filled with antioxidants, amino acids, dietary fiber, iron, calcium, cholesterol-reducing fructans and Vitamins A and C. The rosemary is rich in vitamin E, preventing cancer and skin damage. An egg white provides a lean source of protein, while the lime juice prevents heart disease and gives an extra dose of Vitamin C. The low cal/low carb/low fat Suba was created for the launch of "Miami Nights," Nacional 27's new South Beach-inspired evening of music, dining and dancing, taking place every Friday.
