HI All - I had the opportunity to try SOUL Restaurant in Clarendon Hills, IL.
The Metra ride was easy - about 40 minutes on a Sunday. If you go on a weekend the train ride is $5 roundtrip. Then a short walk, about a block, to the restaurant.
A light and airy atmosphere welcomes you as you enter the restaurant. An open kitchen tantalizes with rich smells. The seasonal menu sounds delicious as each ingredient is read.
Don't think traditional soul food when it comes to the music and food. This is food that touches your soul with seasonal ingredients and wonderful pairings of fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood and sauces with Marvin Gaye and the like playing in the background.
We took a ride on the SOUL Train (Metra) to celebrate the anniversary of Soul Train. A specially prepared menu included a House Cured Hudson Valley Duck Proscuitto with Klug Farm Grapes, Baby Arugula, Pickled Turnips, and Aged Goat Cheese. YUMM!!
